CHIROPRACTIC

Much like regular visits to the dentist promotes good oral health and prevents dental problems, regular visits to your chiropractor may help maintain good health and help prevent problems and injury.

Spine health influences overall health. The spine and nervous system play an important role in maintaining and controlling the body’s functions and systems. If you regularly experience any of the following symptoms,  Chiropractor Alison Bennett will assess your condition and advise how chiropractic may be of assistance.

  • Back Pain

  • Neck Pain

  • Headaches

  • Sciatica

  • Knee Pain

  • Shoulder Pain

  • Rib Pain

  • Poor Posture

  • Pins & Needles

Alison uses very safe, low risk, gentle and effective chiropractic care to keep you at your very best. A thorough assessment of your condition is carried out to ensure the most effective and appropriate care is given.

Alison and the team have also recently introduced a very new technology, exclusive in the Central West to Alive Health called ViMove by Dorsavi. This technology measures your movement and muscle activity through wearable sensors. By understanding your movement, your health care professional can better manage your pain in a very specific, personalised manner.

What do Chiropractors do?

Chiropractors work with the spine, not only as it's often the source of neck and back pain, but as it houses and protects the central nervous system which monitors, controls and regulates all body function. Chiropractic is the largest natural healing art in the world. It is based on the premise that the body is a self-healing organism and that the nervous system is the master control system of the body.

The nervous system controls every function performed by the body directly or indirectly, whether its digesting your dinner or fighting infection.

A Chiropractor maintains the position of the 24 moveable segments of your spine. These vertebrae perform the dual role of protecting the central nervous system and providing the axis for the entire musculo-skeletal system. If they are out of their natural alignment it causes interference in the way the spine and nervous system work.

What causes the spine to be out of alignment?

Spinal misalignments are typically caused by stress:

Physical stress may occur as the result of a car accident or slipping, posture, work trauma, or birth trauma.

Emotional stress may be the result of significant emotional trauma or the inability to adapt to a stressful situation.

Chemical trauma may result from the misuse of prescription or illicit drugs, inadequate nutrition, or environmental toxins.

Chiropractors detect and correct the cause of this interference, allowing your body to properly self-regulate, adapt and heal.

Who can benefit from Chiropractic care?

Chiropractic may be of benefit to people of all ages. The thorough assessment process carried out by the chiropractor will ensure you receive the care appropriate to your condition. Chiropractic has been effective in helping people with the following conditions:

Spinal discomfort during pregnancy

Arthritis

After spinal surgery

Osteoporosis

Poor posture

Following car accident or whiplash injury
